I recently completed a work based on the image of a kelp holdfast. The holdfast is the rootball of the kelp. Whilst usually small, the structures are exquisite, comprised of a combination of fibrous material and what appears to be elements of calcification.

The main work was a three plate etching, in an edition of 5. Two unique state variations were also produced.
