Trinity Church and the associated St.Paul’s Chapel have a long and illustrious history in New York. Most recently St Paul’s Chapel became a sleep station and refuge for the emergency service teams working on the World Trade Centre site for 9 months after the towers were destroyed.
Harrowing in content, unexpectedly beautiful in composition and scale. The emotive content of the objects added an extra dimension to drawing, given the objective of a respective interaction. At one point a guard held back the next wave of visitors so I could finish my sketch of the tridents.
